Hey everyone, Aquaman here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the LG LT700P. Now this is a fridge filter that’s commonly found in LG refrigerators with forward French doors or four-door models with a water dispenser.
It’s NSF Standard 42 and 53 certified for contaminant removal so it’s going to remove a long list of contaminants: chlorine, class 1 particulate, lead, mercury, lindane, atrazine, carbofuran, toxaphene, asbestos, all the nasties that you don’t want in your drinking water.
It’s also certified for the unique laws and requirements of the state of California. Now the LT700P has an approximate filter life of 200 gallons or 6 months, whichever comes first. As I always say, don’t ever go longer
than 6 months with your fridge filter change, it’s not a good idea.
So this is the LG LT700P, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com.
Thanks for watching.

Hey everyone, Aquaman
here with FilterDoctor.com. Today we’re looking at the Samsung DA29-00003G. I
like to call it the DA29-Quad03G. This is a really popular, really
common filter that you’ll find in a variety of Samsung refrigerators.
It’s rated for standards NSF 42 and 53, so the materials are safe and it
removes a very long list of contaminants. The usual suspects are on the list;
chlorine, sediment, particulate, lindane, atrazine, pesticides and herbicides,
cysts and microorganisms, turbidity, lead and mercury, all of the usual nasties
that you don’t want in your drinking water.
It’s also certified for the unique
laws and requirements of the state of California. It’s rated for approximately
300 gallons of filter life or 6 months, whichever comes first. Don’t ever leave
a fridge filter in longer than 6 months, it’s just not a good idea. You need to
change it faithfully at least once every 6 months.
So this is the Samsung DA29-Quad03G, and I’m your host Aquaman with FilterDoctor.com. Thanks for watching.
Are
you careful to make healthy choices for yourself and your family with filtered
water? You can help make a positive difference in the purity of your water, your budget and the environment.
Groundwater sources and
water treatment facilities can't eliminate all the possible contaminants in
your drinking water traveling a large network of pipes before reaching your
sink. Drinking water can pick up contaminants along the way like lead, mercury,
chlorine, taste and odor, particulates, benzene and toxaphene.
Contaminated water can
also reach your refrigerator ice and water dispenser and negatively affect the
taste and smell of your drinking water and ice cubes. Filtering water through
activated carbon traps impurities before reaching your dispenser.
As a last line of
defense the refrigerator water filter can eliminate most contaminants from
entering your drinking water. Providing you and your family clean clear filtered
ice and water.
Your disposable water filter should be replaced when indicated on your control display or at least every six months. If you notice decreased water flow to your dispenser or ice maker change the filter sooner. To change a refrigerator water filter first locate the water filter compartment in the refrigerator ceiling on the right hand side.
Open the filter cover door by pushing up on the front edge of the door. The door will lower as you release it, exposing the filter housing. Remove the filter by turning counterclockwise then pulling it straight out of the housing. Note there may be some water remaining in the filter and some spilling may occur.
Use a towel to wipe up any spills. Remove the new filter from its packaging and remove the protective cover from the O-rings, be sure to check that the O-rings are still in place after the cover is removed.
Align the notch on the water filter with the opening in the housing and gently push the filter into place. Turn the filter clockwise until it stops to ensure the filter is installed correctly. Note, if the filter is not turned completely and locked into the housing the water dispenser will not operate and water will not flow from the dispenser.
Close the filter cover door by lifting it from underneath and pressing upward on the front edge until it’s shut. Anytime a filter is removed or replaced you should flush the water system to properly flush your water system you will need to run three gallons of water through the dispenser before use. This helps to purge any air and carbon fines from the system. Failure to flush the water system may result in dripping or slow water flow from the water dispenser.
